Salakjit Ponsana

Salakjit Ponsana (Thai: สลักจิต พลสนะ; rtgs: Salakchit Phonsana, born 14 February 1984) is a female badminton player from Thailand. Ponsana's brother Boonsak Ponsana is also a member of the Thai badminton team, and she speaks Thai, English, Chinese. She graduate bachelor of Laws from Sripatum University and she is studying master of Management at Sripatum University [1]

Ponsana played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics, defeating Miho Tanaka of Japan in the first round but losing to Gong Ruina of China in the round of 16. Currently ranked in the top 20s, she is a Law student.

In 2009 SEA Games in Laos, Ponsana brought her team to the semi-final, losing to Malaysia. However, in the individual event, she grabbed the gold medal after subduing compatriot Ratchanok Inthanon. In 2012 she won the Spanish Open.
