Roman Voloshenko (born May 12, 1986) is an ice hockey player who, despite being from Belarus has played for the U18 and the U20 Russian National Teams, and has spent a large portion of his life in Russia.[1] He spent his first professional years skating for the Soviet Wings (Krilia Sovetov) in the Russian High League (Russia 2). The young forward was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft with the 42nd overall pick in the second round. The young forward then moved to the United States and skated for the Minnesota Wild's AHL farm club the Houston Aeros.
