The Roman Catholic Diocese of Santo Domingo en Ecuador (Latin: Dioecesis Sancti Dominici in Aequatoria) is a diocese located in the city of Santo Domingo de Los Colorados in the Ecclesiastical province of Portoviejo, Ecuador.
History
Erected as a Territorial Prelature from territory of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Quito on 5 January 1987, it was elevated to a Diocese on 8 August 1996. On 18 June 2008 the Diocese of Santo Domingo de los Colorados was renamed as the Diocese of Santo Domingo en Ecuador.
