The Diocese of Cheju (제주, also romanized Jeju, Latin: Dioecesis Cheiuensis) is a particular church of the Catholic Church located in Jeju City, South Korea. Its mother church is Cheju Joong-Ang Cathedral. The diocese is suffragan to the Archbishop of Gwangju.
History
The episcopal see was created as an Apostolic Prefecture on June 28, 1971 and elevated to a diocese on March 21, 1977, both by Pope Paul VI.[1][2]
