"Ritmo Salsa" is a song by French singer Amanda Lear released in 1984 by Five Records.
Song information
In 1984 Amanda Lear signed with Five Records (a label now defunct) for the release of a single-only song "Ritmo Salsa" and for an EP A L. The track was written by Cristiano Malgioglio and Amanda Lear. The cover photo was taken by Alain-Philippe Malagnac d'Argens de Villèle, Amanda's then-husband.
"Ritmo Salsa" was released only in Italy, as the double A-side single with "Hotel Palace". Despite being promoted as the theme song of Italian TV show W le donne, hosted by Lear herself at the time, "Ritmo Salsa" didn't turn out a success and failed to chart.
Music video
Music videos were shot for both songs. They were aired in Italian television show W le donne in 1984. The "Ritmo Salsa" video pictures Amanda sporting various looks, including colourful costumes and wigs.
