Rietumu–Delfin (UCI Team Code: RBD) is a Latvian cycling team established in 2002 in order to develop Latvian cyclists to an international level. Its main sponsor is Rietumu Banka. During next year`s former professional riders Jaan Kirsipuu and Arvis Piziks worked as sports directors.[1] It was a UCI Continenta team until the end of 2008 season, when team shifted main focus on XC MTB racing.[2] In 2012 the team is once again registered at UCI level. The most famous riders of the team are Aleksejs Saramotins, now riding for IAM Cycling; Vasil Kiryienka, winner of the individual time trial at the road world championships in Richmond, Virginia, United States;[3] Toms Skujiņš, team Cannondale-Garmin,[4] winner of UCI America Tour individual ranking 2015.[5]
