Raw, alternatively titled Grave, is a 2016 French-Belgian horror film written and directed by Julia Ducournau.[4] The film stars Garance Marillier as a vegetarian college student who, following an initiation ritual, becomes a cannibal.
The film was screened in the International Critics' Week section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival where it won the FIPRESCI Prize.[2][5]
During a screening at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, some viewers received emergency medical services after fainting from the film's graphic scenes.[6][7]
