Ras Burqa

Ras Burqa, (“head of the blessing” in Ararbic)[1] is a small bay on the Red Sea in the district of Nuwaiba, Egypt.

In 1985, Suleiman Khater, a lone Egyptian assailant, perpetrated the Ras Burqa massacre killing eight people.[2]

since 1986 the bay hosts Basata resort and is commonly referred to by that name[1][3][4]
