Ranunculus cortusifolius, also known as the Azores buttercup[1] or Canary buttercup,[2] is a plant species in the genus Ranunculus, family Ranunculaceae.[3] It grows on moister sites throughout the Canary and Azores Islands but is widely cultivated elsewhere as an ornamental.[2] There are reports of it having become naturalized in parts of California.[4]

The plant has palmately lobed leaves and showy yellow flowers.
