Punian or Poonian is a village in Shahkot in Jalandhar district of Punjab State, India. It is located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Shahkot, 28 kilometres (17 mi) from Nakodar, 52 kilometres (32 mi) from district headquarter Jalandhar and 185 kilometres (115 mi) from state capital Chandigarh. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village.
