Pre-primary education in Mauritius
Pre-primary education in Mauritius is the stage of education to be completed prior to the start of primary school, which is compulsory for all students of ages 3 to 5 in Mauritius. The pre-primary programme of study lasts for three years, termed as Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3. Upon completion of the pre-primary years of study, students may enter into primary school, which continues to the award of the Certificate of Primary Education for students who successfully complete primary school studies with passing marks on the final exams.[1]
