Power Paandi is an upcoming Indian Tamil drama film produced, written and directed by Dhanush, which marks his directorial debut.[1] The film features Rajkiran in the title role, while Nadhiya, Prasanna and Chaya Singh play pivotal role. The venture began production in September 2016.

In September 2016, Wunderbar Films made an announcement that Dhanush would immediately begin work on his first directorial venture featuring Rajkiran in the lead role. Titled Power Paandi, a first look poster featuring the actor was released to the media, while Sean Roldan and Velraj joined the project as its music director and cinematographer respectively.[2] Actresses Nadhiya and Chaya Singh agreed to work on the film, while actor Prasanna was signed to portray Rajkiran's son.[3] The film began production on the day of its public announcement.[4][5]
