Plainfield High School is located in Central Village, Connecticut. The school's mascot is a Panther and they are referred to as the Plainfield Panthers during competitive events. Their school colors are black and orange.
The current Plainfield High School building was finished in 2005, at a total cost of $88.3 million. A small building from the old school was retained, out of respect for its historic importance. This little building is nicknamed "The Annex."
