Phina Mugerwa is a Ugandan musician and dancer.[1] with a son.[2]

Early life and education

Phina was born in Kampala Uganda to Francis Kiwanuka and Kemigisha Kiwanuka of Kawaala. She attended Namirembe kindergarten, Namirembe Infant School for her primary education and then St. Andrew Kaggwa College for her secondary education.[3]

Music

Phina started her music career in 2007 after completing her senior six. Radio presenter Kato Lubwama made an announcement on radio seeking dancers to join his Diamonds Ensemble Band. She auditioned with about 300 others and was among the three that were chosen.[4] She is famous for her dancing as well as her singing. Her songs like "Bampassudde", "Gyobera" and more have made her a household name in Uganda's music industry.[5]
