Phillauri is an upcoming Indian Bollywood romantic comedy film, directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma under the banner of Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films. Anushka will be playing the female lead opposite Diljit Dosanjh while Suraj Sharma will be opposite Mehreen Pirzada.[1][2] Residents of Phillaur town (in Jalandhar district of Punjab) are known as Phillauris.[3][4] The film is scheduled for release on March 24, 2017.
Planning and Shooting
Principal photography of the film commenced in April 2016.[5][6] The shooting of the film went on floors after the Punjabi festival of Vaisakhi 2016.[7][8] First day of the shoot was on 19 April 2016.[9]
Plot
The film is a unique love story set in Phillaur, Punjab. There will be a combination of both romance and comedy.[10]
