Phi1 Ceti, also known as 17 Ceti and HD 4188,[1] is a star located in the constellation Cetus. The star is a K-type giant with an apparent visual magnitude of +4.78, and is located approximately 71.63 parsecs (233.6 ly) from the Sun.[1] The star is suspected of variability; it has been claimed to vary between magnitudes 4.75 and 4.78.[2]
