Petal is an American rock band from Scranton, Pennsylvania, currently signed to Run For Cover Records.[1] The band consists of only one permanent member, Kiley Lotz, with the rest of the band a rotating group of musicians from other bands such as Ben and Brianna of Tigers Jaw and members of Three Man Cannon, Halfling, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, and Captain, We're Sinking.[2][3]

History

Petal began in September 2013 with the self-release of an extended play titled Scout.[4] The EP caught the attention of the record label Run For Cover, who signed them to their label three months later in December 2013. The EP was re-released after they signed to Run For Cover.[5]

On September 1, 2015, Petal released the song Sooner from their upcoming album.[6] Petal released their debut full-length album, Shame on October 23, 2015, via Run For Cover.[7][8]
