Pedro Andrade

Pedro Andrade (born April 14, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro)[1][2] is a Brazilian journalist, actor and model

He began his acting career at the early age of 7 in Brazil. A student of journalism, Pedro originally came to the United States on a Poetry scholarship.[1] He lives in the West Village in New York City. Pedro was discovered by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino[3] and traveled the world modeling for the likes of Giorgio Armani before joining LXTV (NBC's lifestyle network) in '06. He received notoriety from being a host inside television in New York Taxis.[3] [4] Besides hosting LXTV 1st Look TV, he has a show on LXTV.com called On The Rocks: The Search for America's Top Bartender. Andrade also runs a popular website where about fashion, food, art, nightlife and entertainment.[5] .He's also a reporter for Manhattan Connection, a Brazilian TV show at Globo News, Globo TV Cable News Network. On Brazilian radio he presents a weekly show, Conexão América (America Connection) at Eldorado FM Station. In 1999, Pedro Andrade appears for the LG Electronics TV Commercials.

Through volunteer work, donations and specialarances, Pedro supports a number of humanitarian causes such as Cancer Research, AIDS Research, Environmental Preservation, as well as a number of children's charities such as the Make a Wish Foundation and Big Brother. In 2007, he and his dog, Miles, appear alongside the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Gisele Bündchen & Kelly Ripa in Pose For Paws, a coffee table book by famed photographer Brian Nice benefiting the Humane Society.[1]
