Patricio M. Ahumada, Jr. is a former mayor of Brownsville, Texas. He was previously mayor from 1991 through 1994, and ran for U.S. Representative in 2000 and 2002. In the 2000 election run, he ran for Congress as a Republican.
Ahumada is currently running for the mayoral candidacy in Brownsville, Texas. If successful, he will be the first 3-time mayor in Brownsville's history. He faces off against attorney Tony Martinez. He lost to Tony Martinez in the runoff election in May 2015.
