The Pacific Coast League Rookie of the Year Award is an annual award given to the best rookie player in minor league baseball's Pacific Coast League. Managers from the 16 Pacific Coast League teams and media representatives in each city across the league vote for the winner of the award.[1] In 1998, Jeremy Giambi won the first ever Pacific Coast League Rookie of the Year Award.

Second basemen, with 4 winners, have won the most among infielders, followed by first basemen and shortstops (2) and third basemen (1). One player who won the award was a pitcher. Nine outfielders have won the award, the most of any position. Four were center fielders, three were left fielders, and two were right fielders.

Four players from the Tucson Sidewinders/Reno Aces have been selected for the Rookie of the Year Award, more than any other teams in the league, followed by the Salt Lake Stingers/Bees (3); the Calgary Cannons/Albuquerque Isotopes (2); the El Paso Chihuahuas, Omaha Royals/Golden Spikes and Tacoma Rainiers (2); and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, New Orleans Zephyrs, Portland Beavers, and Sacramento River Cats (1).

Four players from the Arizona Diamondbacks Major League Baseball (MLB) organization have won the Rookie of the Year Award, more than any other, followed by the Anaheim Angels/Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and San Diego Padres organizations (3); the Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners organizations (2); and the Colorado Rockies, Florida Marlins, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Oakland Athletics organizations (1).
