Oxxford Clothes is a high-end men's suit and sport coat manufacturer based in Chicago, Illinois. It has been called "the quintessential American suit maker" by the Robb Report.[1] In 2008 Forbes reported that Oxxford's made-to-measure suits started at $3,500; and bespoke suits started at $5,000.[2]
History
The company was founded in 1916 by Jacob and Louis Weinberg. The company names Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Walt Disney and Joe DiMaggio as among its customers.[3]
Awards and honors
In 2001, Forbes magazine rated Oxxford the best American suit.[4]
