Otto Wiefeldt
Otto Wiedfeldt (16 August 1871 in Thuringia, Altmark - 5 July 1926 in Essen) was a German politician and economist.
Life
He served in the Reichsamt of the Interior from 1908 to 1910 and 1914 to 1917. He worked as Ministerialdirektor in the Japanese Ministry of Railways. In 1918 he took over the chairmanship of the Executive Board of Friedrich Krupp AG in Essen, and at the same time presided over the Essen Chamber of Commerce.[1]
On March 21, 1922, Wiedfeldt was appointed to the first German Ambassador after the resumption of diplomatic relations after the First World War in Washington. On January 31, 1925, he handed over the embassy to Dieckhoff.
From the end of April 1925 to May 26, 1926, Wiedfeldt once again returned to the Krupp Executive Board as a member of the Supervisory Board and a delegate for financial affairs.
On July 5, 1926, Wiedfeldt succumbed to a leukemia. He was buried on the 8th of July at Meisenburgfriedhof in Essen-Bredeney.
