Orgesa Zaimi

Orgesa Zaimi (born July 25, 1985) is an Albanian singer and radio host. She was born in Poliçan, Albania.

Career

Her first appearance on the National Albanian TV station TVSH was in 2004 on the talent show "Ethet e se premtes mbrema". One year later, she competed again and her band won the final prize.

In 2006, during the "Kenga Magjike" festival, she collaborated with Ronela Hajati in the duet "Requiem" and they won the "Tendence" prize.

In 2009, she was the back vocalist to singer Kejsi Tola, who represented Albania on Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, Russia, and won Best Rock Video on "Netet e Klipit Shqiptar" festival.

Her first video, "Stacion", won the Best Alternative Video prize on "Netet e Klipit Shqiptar". Stacion was a production of songwriter Gjergj Jorgaqi.

She is known for her performances on "Top Fest", "Kenget e Shekullit", "Kthehem te dielen", and "E diela shqiptare".

Life

She was born in the small town of Poliçan, but moved to Tirana for college. She graduated in 2007 from the Filologic University of Tirana with a degree in Language and Literature.

She is currently married to journalist Mentor Beqa. The couple has a daughter named Bora.
