Onsari Gharti Magar is the first female speaker of the Parliament of Nepal. She was elected unopposed for the speakers' chair on October 16, 2015.[1][2]
Political career
She was the former Deputy Speaker of Nepali`s Parliament[2] and served as Minister of Youth and sports in the cabinet of Jhala Nath Khanal.[1] She was elected to the Constituent Assembly (CA) from Rolpa constituency-2 in the second CA election.
Personal life
She is married to Barsha Man Pun.[1] Barsha Man Pun is secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Centre) (CPN (Maoist)).
