Ondori Island is a small island lying 1.9 kilometres (1 nmi) north of Ongul Island and 1.5 kilometres (0.8 nmi) west of Nesoya in the northeast part of Lutzow-Holm Bay. Mapped from surveys and air photos by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), 1957-62. The name "Ondori-jima" (rooster island) was given by JARE Headquarters in 1972 in association with nearby Mendori Island.
