Oleksiy Pecherov (Ukrainian: Олексій Печеров; born December 8, 1985) is a Ukrainian professional basketball player who last played for Hekmeh of the FLB League. He's also a member of the Ukraine national basketball team.

Professional career

The Washington Wizards selected him with the 18th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft; Pecherov signed a contract with the Wizards on July 5, 2007. Pecherov had previously played with Paris Basket Racing internationally.

On June 23, 2009, he was traded along with Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila, and a first round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Randy Foye and Mike Miller.[1]

On August 16, 2010, he signed with Olimpia Milano of the Italian league and the Euroleague for the 2010–11 season.[2] On August 23, 2011, he signed a two-year deal with BC Azovmash of Ukraine.[3]

On November 9, 2013, he signed a one-month deal with Valencia BC of the Spanish ACB League.[4]

On January 22, 2014, he signed with Krasnye Krylia of Russia for the rest of the 2013–14 season.[5] He left them on May 6, 2014.[6]

On February 4, 2015, he signed with Kalev/Cramo of the Korvpalli Meistriliiga.[7]

On September 28, 2015, Pecherov signed with the Denver Nuggets.[8] However, he was later waived by the Nuggets on October 24 after appearing in one preseason game.[9]

On February 3, 2016, he signed with Hekmeh of the Lebanese Basketball League.[10]
