Now That's What I Call Music! 28 was released on June 3, 2008. The album is the 28th edition of the (U.S.) Now! series. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 185,000 units,[2] and was certified Platinum by the RIAA on August 1, 2008.[3]
Now! 28 features two Billboard Hot 100 number-one hits, "Bleeding Love" and "Lollipop". For only the second time, a Now! album in the main U.S. series features a Spanish track, "Te Quiero", following the inclusion of "La Tortura" by Shakira & Alejandro Sanz on Now! 19. "Te Quiero" was also to be later featured on the 2009 Latin-themed Now! collection, Now Esto Es Musica! Latino 4 in full Spanish.
