Nick Martens (born September 11, 1982 in Ann Arbor, Michigan) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who last played for the Hannover Indians of the 2. Eishockey-Bundesliga in Germany.[1]
Martens began his pro career in 2005, playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. He then split 2006/07 with the San Antonio Rampage, the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones and then back in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He previously played two seasons in the North American Hockey League for the Texas Tornado and then four seasons with the University of Michigan before turning pro.
