N. T. Rama Rao filmography

The filmography of N T Rama Rao consists of over 300 films from 1949 to 1994 in which he is credited as actor, writer, director and producer. Popularly known as NTR, Rao was a star of Telugu language cinema, based in Andhra Pradesh, India.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}

Director, Producer, Story, Screenplay

N. T. Rama Rao directed 16 films and usually wrote the story and screenplay himself. He was also the art director, costumes designer, production manager, production designer, editor, etc, in most of the films he directed, however he has not used his name in the titles. He has complete knowledge of all aspects of film-making and has worked in various capacities.^[6][7]

Production company

N. T. Rama Rao started his own production company called 'National Art Theatre' in 1953 along with his brother N. Trivikrama Rao and produced several films. Later, NTR changed his company's name to 'Ramakrishna - NAT Combine' in 1966. Later he constructed Ramakrishna Studios which produced several films.^[8]
