The Montagne d'Or mine is one of the largest gold mines in the French Guiana and in the world.[1] The mine is located in the north-west of the country in Arrondissement of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.[1] The mine has estimated reserves of 5.37 million oz of gold.[1]
