Miss Cook Islands is a national Beauty pageant in Cook Islands.
History
The Miss Cook Islands pageant started in 1979 and usually held once every two years.[1] The pageant is framed as a tourist attraction, although few tourists attended. The main sponsors at the pageant are connected to the tourist industry. The Miss Cook Islands pageant was previously categorized in three sections, such as Swimwear Competition, Evening Gown Competition and Talent Show. Before selecting the winner, the pageant will also select some important special awards for Miss Pre-Pageant Interview, Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, Miss Swimwear, Miss Deportment, Miss Talent, Miss Personality and Miss Evening Gown & Stage Interview. Miss Cook Islands 2015 Natalia Short was crowned on Saturday 17 October 2015 at the National Auditorium. http://www.cookislandsnews.com/features/entertainment/item/54536-miss-cook-islands-prepares-for-miss-world
