Minchinabad Tehsil (Urdu: تحصِيل مِنچِن آباد), is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Bahawalnagar District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The city of Minchinabad is the headquarters of the tehsil which is administratively subdivided into 20 Union Councils.[1]
Languages
As per national census of 1998 Punjabi (in Majhi and Malwi dialects) is the main language of Tehsil Minchinabad spoken by .3 million people which accounts for 95% of the total population of .37 million. [2] Urdu, the national language, is spoken widely while English spoken by the educated elite.
