Mike Carter[2] (October 16, 1953) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 29 since January 8, 2013. In 1997, he was appointed Judge of the General Sessions Court of Hamilton County, Tennessee.[3]
Education
Carter earned his BS from Middle Tennessee State University and his JD from University of Memphis.
Elections
- 2012 When District 29 Democratic Representative JoAnne Favors retired and left the seat open, Carter was unopposed for both the August 2, 2012 Republican Primary, winning with 5,577 votes,[4] and the November 6, 2012 General election, winning with 19,860 votes.[5]
