Merqui Sosa
Merqui Sosa (born November 9, 1965 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republican) is a former professional boxer and boxing trainer. As a professional he fought in the super middleweight division against boxers like Roy Jones Jr and Charles Williams.

Sosa was born November 11, 1965 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.
Career
Sosa began training at 11 years old and started his amateur career at the age 12 years old. He joined the Republican Dominican Team at the age of 14 years old. During his boxing amateur career he participated in over 200 fights with only 9 losses.
