Matt Keegan (Manhasset, NY) is an American artist, curator, and editor. His work combines a variety of disciplines including photography, sculpture, video, writing, and artists' books. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Education

Work

Keegan's work is conceptual and multi-faceted, and it often involves the intersection of language and image, as well as collaboration.[1] In his 2011 solo exhibition at D'Amelio Terras Gallery in New York, titled "I Apple New York", he collaborated with designer David Reinfurt to recreate the iconic Milton Glaser logo (I ❤ NY), and interviewed Glaser in lieu of a press release.[2] Michael Wilson in ArtForum cited his work as a "...diverse vision of New York as an endlessly captivating mess of designs, compromises, and accidents good and bad." [3]

Exhibitions

Keegan had his first solo exhibition, How to Make a Portrait at Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery (Project Room) and White Columns in New York in 2006.
