Mario Vaquerizo Caro (born 5 July 1974 in Madrid, Spain) is a journalist, writer, singer, actor, manager and collaborator of radio and television. He became famous in Spain with the reality show Alaska y Mario of MTV Spain. The reality show depicted his life with his wife, the singer Alaska whom he married in Las Vegas. He is also known for his appearances on different radio programmes and TV programmes such as El Hormiguero, El programa de Ana Rosa, and Yu No Te Pierdas Nada. Besides, he has participate in the film Hotel Transylvania giving voice to Frankenstein.

Professional career

Vaquerizo has worked in the media, as a contributor to El País, Vanidad, Primera Línea, Rolling Stone, In Touch, Canal+ or La Razón. In 1999 he began to work in promotion at the record company Subterfuge.

He has been the press agent for various Spanish acts, including Fangoria, Dover, Merche and Silvia Superstar, as well as the actresses Elsa Pataki y Leonor Watling. In addition, under the stage name of Nancy Anoréxica, he is the lead singer of Nancys Rubias, a pop group specialising in covers. The groups other members are Susie Pop, Marta Vaquerizo, Juan Pedro and Miguel. They have released five albums with Warner Music, with their most famous songs being Peluquitas, Me Da Igual, Salvame, Corazón de Hielo o Di que si. In 2014 he published his book, Fabiografía, written in the first person but functioning as a biography of Fabio McNamara, an important figure in the La Movida Madrileña counterculture scene.
