Malladi is a village in Amaravati Mandal in Guntur district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2011 Census of India, the village had a population of 2,582. The total population constitute, 1,247 males and 1,335 females —a sex ratio of 1071 females per 1000 males. 289 children are in the age group of 0–6 years, of which 144 are boys and 145 are girls —a ratio of 1007 per 1000. The average literacy rate stands at 59.83% with 1,372 literates, significantly lower than the state average of 67.41%.[1][2]
Economy
The main occupation is agriculture. The village depends on the Krishna river for irrigation. It pioneered in lift irrigation.
Transport
APS RTC operates bus services from Amaravathi, Guntur and Krosuru to this village.
Education
The villages plays a major role in education for the rural students in it.The primary and secondary school education is imparted by government, aided and private schools, under the School Education Department of the state.[3] As per the school information report for the academic year 2015–16, the village has more than 247 students enrolled in over 04 schools.[4][5]
