MAA TV is a Telugu-language television channel based in Hyderabad, India. MAA TV and its subsidiary channels are part of 21st Century Fox's STAR India network. MAA TV is a leading Telugu TV channel network known for its vibrant, innovative, pleasant and interactive programming. As the name 'MAA' indicates (maa means ours in Telugu), MAA TV is very close to the hearts of its viewers and it stands out from the cluster of channels through its programming quality. Emotional connection with the viewers has been the core strength and hallmark of MAA TV.
In February 2015, STAR India, a unit of 21st Century Fox, has acquired the entire broadcast business of MAA Television Network Ltd for a whopping ₹2,500 crore (US$370 million). So all big channels of Telugu language are owned by either a Ramoji Group, national network or a network from their neighboring states.
In terms of programme ratings, MAA, the main General Entertainment Channel (GEC) in the network, is among the top 20 TV channels in India.
MAA Television Network Limited as a corporate entity was formed in 2001 and the main GEC channel, MAA TV, was launched in 2002. The second channel, MAA Music, was launched in 2008. With the launch of MAA Movies in February 2011 and MAA Gold (a trendy GEC with a focus on urban and youth audience) in February 2012, MAA TV has emerged as a major Telugu television network with a bouquet of four channels.
Known for its events, MAA TV establishes a bond with the audience by providing a complete ground experience.
CineMaa Awards, the flagship event of MAA, has earned the reputation as a platform for the film industry to come together and celebrate excellence in Telugu cinema.
Over the years, MAA TV has built a strong movie library that boasts cult classics and blockbusters in Telugu cinema to enthrall its viewers.
It is one of the Telugu-language TV channels. The channel is available on cable, DTH and IPTV platforms in India. In the USA it is available through Dish TV and IPTV. It is now available in Singapore on IPTV Singtel mio TV Channel 671. MAA TV is also available in Malaysia on Cable TV ABNXcess on Channel 583 and Dubai.

MAA TV Network has four channels in the network: MAA TV, MAA Music, MAA Movies and MAA Gold.
Popularity
The channel gained popularity among Telugu television viewers. Daily serials such as Chinnari Pellikuturu, Radha-Madhu, ammamma.com, Laya, Maa Pasalapoodi Kathalu, and Sivaranjani helped in maintaining the channel's popularity. MAA TV expanded its operations with the launch of MAA Music channel in 2008. In 2011 it launched two new channels, MAA Movies and MAA Juniors. MAA Juniors channel ceased operations on 25 January 2012. A new entertainment channel, MAA Gold, was launched on 4 February 2012 during the MAA Music Awards event.[1]

CineMAA awards
Maa TV presents the CineMAA Awards to Tollywood personalities every year. The trophy was designed by Neil Foley Designs.[2]
