MACO Door & Window Hardware (U.K.) LTD is one of the world's leading manufacturers of window and door fittings and based in Salzburg, Austria. The company employs more than 2300 people in total worldwide (as at July 2007) and has a total operating area of over 140,000 m².
History
The Business was established in 1947 by KR Lorenz Mayer in Altenmarkt in Austria. 1952 the Business moved from Altenmarkt to Salzburg. 1971 KR Lorenz Mayer dies at work and KR DI Ernst Mayer takes over management of the company. From 1972–1992 the company grows in stages to 25.400 m² and 590 employees. The production plant in Trieben is opened in 1995 and extended in 2007.

MACO Fittings are produced in three production works in Austria:
An assembly plant in Kaluga,[1][2] Russian Federation exclusively serves the Russian Market.
MACO annually produces hardware for approximately 25 million window sashes.
