Lonestar Kashmir Football Club are a semi-professional Indian football club based in Jammu and Kashmir. They will soon also participate in their first national level competition when they compete in the 2015 I-League 2nd Division.[1]

History

Lonestar Kashmir is affiliated with Jammu & Kashmir Football Association and participates in state tournaments. In 2013, LoneStar group became the primary sponsor of the group and registered it as the private company to fulfill AIFF club licensing criteria.[2]The club namely Kashmir FC is registered with J&K Football Association and is being participating in all major tournaments of the State. In the end of the 2013 season LoneStar Group registered Kashmir FC under private companies Act as per the AIFF Club licensing criteria. The idea was to introduce a Kashmir based club in professional football map of the country. Lonestar being the owner and the sole sponsor of the Club is running its Head Office at C-Mart Bagaat Barzulla Srinagar and BO at Polo View Srinagar and Jammu as well.

As far as the Club Secretariat is concern Mr. Iftikhar A Lone is the owner and Chairman of the Club. Mr. N A Khan, Former President, JKFA is the Executive Director, Farmaan A Lone (Director), Mr. Z A Thakur (Director) and Majid Yousuf as Sec/Gen. Man. of the Club.

Head Coach of the Team is Mr. Hilal Rasool who is AFC PRO License Coach and recently appointed Mr. Sajid Dar ( renowned AIFF Coach) as Technical Director of the Club. Club has also appointed a good panel of Assistant Coaches for teams and youth development programmes.

Top 22 players from J&K State are contracted with the Club and are in full preparation for making their debut in I League. The club is also having a good combination of Foreign and outside State Players. The target is to qualify at least for the main rounds this season.
