List of extinct in the wild animals
As of July 2016, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists 33 extinct in the wild animal species.[1] Approximately 0.05% of all evaluated animal species are listed as extinct in the wild. The IUCN also lists five animal subspecies as extinct in the wild.
