Super Junior, a thirteen-member boy band from South Korea, has won numerous awards and recognitions since their K-pop debut in 2005, their introduction to the Mandopop industry in 2007 and to the J-pop industry in 2011. Super Junior won most of their awards in South Korea, but they have also won many awards and nominations globally. The group has recorded eight studio albums and seven CD singles, but they have released a total of 20 different kinds of records, including featurings and sub-unit recordings.
The group's most successful song is U, which earned Super Junior their first music award, the SBS Popular Songs Mutizen Song in June 2006. The single earned the group four more distinctive song awards, and the group grabbed their first MKMF award from the Mnet/KM Music Festival in November 2006. In terms of recognition in other areas of Asia, Super Junior is the first overseas artist to win Asia's Artist of the Year at the Tencent Stars Magnificent Ceremony in China, and is also the second musical group to win Favorite Artist Korea at the MTV Asia Awards, after jtL in 2003. Super Junior have earned 18 music awards at the Golden Disk Awards, 13 at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and 12 at the Seoul Music Awards. Super Junior is the first Asian artist who won International Artist at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
Super Junior have also gained recognition for their dress style and fashion throughout their career. They hailed as the best-dressed artist at the 2007 Summer Break 20's Choice Awards, and also earned a similar nomination the following year. The group have also earned titles for their dance choreography and popularity.
Golden Disk Awards
The Golden Disk Awards is a music awards show founded in 1986 that is presented annually by the Music Industry Association of Korea for outstanding achievements in the music industry in South Korea. The Main Award (Disk Bonsang) is awarded up to 10 best artists by calculating album and digital sales with online vote and a final judgement by the judges of the award ceremony. The Grand Prize award (Disk Daesang) is equivalent Artist of the Year, is awarded to the performer of the best full-length album nominated from the Disk Bonsang.
Mnet Asian Music Awards
The Mnet Asian Music Awards (abbreviated as a MAMA), formerly "M.net KM Music Festival" (MKMF) (1999–2008), is a major K-pop music award show that is held by Mnet Media annually in South Korea. Daesang Award (Grand Prize) is equivalent Artist of the Year.
In 2009 SM Entertainment along with Inwoo Production boycotted the 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards event on 21 November, hence none of their artists attended the event. SM stated that they have reservation regarding the standard of fairness and criteria used in their selections,[4] citing that Girls' Generation had topped a music chart for nine consecutive weeks but was never placed first place on their show and only debuted on their charts a month after the album was released. They also asked that their artists be removed from a mobile poll which requires participants to pay a fee in order to vote saying they "do not want to see fans suffer any damage from the poll which has commercial intentions".[5]
Seoul Music Awards
The Seoul Music Awards is a music awards show founded in 1990 that is presented annually by the Sports Seoul for outstanding achievements in the music industry in South Korea. Daesang Award (Grand Prize) is equivalent Artist of the Year. While the Bonsang Awards (Main Prize) is awarded up to 10 best artists by calculating album and digital sales with online vote and a final judgement by the judges of the award ceremony.
Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards
The Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards is a major music awards show that is held annually in South Korea by the national music record chart Gaon Chart. The awards focus more on songs and albums rather than musicians. Award finalists are based on the previous year's Gaon year-end chart performance according to data for sales of songs and albums.

Music show awards
SBS's 'Inkigayo' has decided to abolish its rank and award system.[52]
On July 15, 2012, 'Inkigayo' removed its Take 7, where the seven of the most popular artists from that week are featured, and the Mutizen Song award.[52]
With 'Inkigayo' following MBC's 'Music Core' of becoming an awardless program, KBS's 'Music Bank' remains as the only music program from the three major broadcasting stations with the awarding system.[52]
