List of Gidget (TV series) episodes

The following is a list of episodes of the American sitcom Gidget. The series aired for a single season on ABC[1] and struggled to find an audience during its initial run.[2]

Episodes 1–17 originally aired on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. opposite The Beverly Hillbillies on CBS, which was popular with teenagers. ABC moved Gidget to Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. beginning with Episode #18 ("Like Voodoo"), where it performed poorly opposite CBS's Gilligan's Island.[2]

1966 summer reruns catapulted the show to the Top 10, as viewers looked for shows they had not seen during their original fall/winter broadcasts. However, ABC had already cancelled Gidget, and consequently, scrambled to retain its newfound audience by starring Sally Field in a new show in September 1967, The Flying Nun.[1]
