Linda Candelo

Early life

Linda Candelo grew up in a small village in Colombia unsure of whether to become a doctor or a journalist. When she was 17, she worked for Univision 41 for a brief period of time, but enrolled at Universidad Libre, in Cali, Colombia, as a medicine student.

In 2000, she decided to move the United States and attended Union College in New Jersey. She then transferred to Kean University, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Career

In 2005, Candelo worked on Univision’s daily morning program, “Despierta America,” and produced “Hoy Contigo” of Cablevision.

Linda has written articles for “Beauty Magazine,” and is currently a columnist for “Su Guia” newspaper, part of the North Jesey Media Group.^[1]
