Lim Gunawan Hariyanto is an Indonesian businessman is in the natural resources sector. He is currently President Director and CEO of the Harita Group, which has companies in palm oil and mining.[1] He is also the CEO of Singapore-listed palm oil company Bumitama Agri.

Profile

Gunawan was born in 1960 in the town of Samarinda, Kalimantan Indonesia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1981 and started his career in 1982, helping his father in the family's timber business. He later expanded his business into gold mining, coal mining, palm oil plantations, nickel mining and bauxite mining. Gunawan built his business through organic growth, strategic joint venture partnerships and also through acquisitions. Gunawan is known for his vibrant personality and also for his win-win philosophy of doing business. He is an avid golfer and singer, and has produced 3 of his own music CD albums to date.[2][3]
