Liceo Classico Jacopo Stellini
Liceo Classico statale Jacopo Stellini is the oldest liceo classico in Udine, for pupils aged 14 to 19.
History
The high school was founded in 1808 and it moved to its present venue after the World War I, when it played at home to the headquarters of the Italian Army.
Teaching
The subjects that are studied in deepest are classical studies (Latin language and literature and ancient Greek Language and literature) and humanities (history, philosophy and Italian literature), but in the latest years subjects like English language, science and mathematics are increasing.
The library
Liceo Stellini's library is very prestigious: it contains books of the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th century.
