Lathrop & Gage is a Kansas City, Missouri law firm with 320 attorneys.[1]
History
The firm opened in 1873 by Gardiner Lathrop and William Smith.[2] In 1876 it began representing the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and it continues to handle it in its current BNSF Railway incarnation and has handled thousands of cases for the railroad over the years.[3]
In 1996 the Lathrop firm (then known as Lathrop & Norquist) merged with the firm Gage & Tucker which had been formed in 1930 by future Kansas City mayor John B. Gage
Offices
The firm has its headquarters at 2345 Grand in Kansas City near Union Station. Other offices are in Boston, Boulder, Chicago, Denver, Jefferson City, Los Angeles, Overland Park, Springfield and St. Louis.[4]
