Lani Renaldo is an American song-writer, multi-instrumentalist and blogger from Los Angeles, CA.

Early life

Renaldo was born October 21, 1995 in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in 2014.[1] She currently attends the University of Southern California.[2]

Career

Music

Born into a musical family, Renaldo began playing drums at 3 years old.[3] In 2012, Renaldo was picked to go to the GRAMMY Foundation's GRAMMY CAMP in New York to participate as a songwriter.[4] In the fall of 2015, she released her debut EP titled, "q u i e t h o u r s" followed by "The Elevator Song," Produced by Trey Vittetoe (Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez).[5] She is currently working on another EP slated for release summer 2016.

Renaldo has performed in various venues throughout Los Angeles and recently performed at the Special Olympic World Games. She is also sponsored by Roland.[6]

She performed alongside Alessia Cara at the American Music Awards[7] and appeared in the Samsung Level Music Lab with Halsey.[8]

Renaldo will open for Halsey at a Los Angeles date of the 2016 Badlands Tour.[9]

As a journalist, Renaldo has written for sites like PopWrapped[10] and The Huffington Post.[11] She is most known for her article regarding popular clothing store, "Brandy Melville."[12] In 2015, she appeared on the Emmy-award winning television show, "The Doctors" to speak about her article.[13] Renaldo's work has also been featured on websites like TheGloss[14] and Good Morning America.[15]

Acting

In 2015, Renaldo was featured in EDM producer Jacob Plant's music video for "Hunger."[16]

Personal life

Philanthropy

Renaldo has supported organizations like TEEN LINE and Camp Ronald McDonald.[17] She also teaches drum classes to youth through an organization called SLAM.[18]
