Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute

The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI, Korean: 한국전기연구원) is a non-profit government-funded research institute in Republic of Korea. As of 2008, KERI has about 530 employees including 300 researchers.

Overview

Established in 1976, KERI (Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute) is a non-profit government-funded research organization that has been at the forefront of technological excellence. KERI has been contributing to research on electrotechnology and testing of power apparatus as a Korean government-sponsored institute. Main office is in Changwon, Republic of Korea and two branches are in Ansan and Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. For last 30 years, accumulated expertise, dedicated facilities and innovative instruments have achieved impressive results in industry and in power business.

1976.12.29 Korea Electric Research and Testing Institute(KERTI) was established
1981.01.20 Korea Electrotechnology and Telecommunications Research Institute(KETRI) was established (Consolidation of KERTI and KTRI)
1985.06.17 Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute(KERI) was separated from KETRI
