Kolanowice [kɔlanɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German: Kollanowitz, from 1936 Kniedorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Łubniany, within Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Łubniany and 10 km (6 mi) north-east of the regional capital Opole.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
The village has an approximate population of 500.
